Country Mixtape Tour Was A Blast In GP

Monday night in Grande Prairie the Country Mix Tape tour rolled in. The tour consisted of Tyler Joe Miller, Shawn Austin and Andrew Hyatt with all 3 sharing the stage and rotating when it came to performances. The 3 artists incorporated a fun little “writers round” where they performed some songs, including a cover song each. Listening the backstory for Andrew’s current single “L Is For” means the tour stop in Sudbury should be really fun. Tyler, Shawn and Andrew just seem to have a chemistry that you can’t really fake, which is needed to pull off the rotating act and comedy elements, other wise it would be 1 set, next set and the closer, Aaron Pritchett is great at utilizing this type of set up.

The crowd took a bit to really get into it, not sure if the liquor just had to kick in or not, but there were some couples dancing throughout the night and in the 2nd half is where we saw the fans get close to the stage and really engage with the singers. Their were shot being bought by fans that were consumed on stage, and it is safe to say Tequila isn’t a favourite for one or two of the guys.

All 3 utilized their sets with the night concluding with Tyler Joe Miller performing “Pillow Talking” before the encore of all 3 singing “Brand New Man” by Brooks and Dunn which had everyone singing along.

All 3 popped out for a bit to talk and meet some fans, which is where I may have been tipped off the night before the CCMA’s were announced to be in 2025.

These are 3 artists you shouldn’t miss in concert whatsoever if they circle back.
