Budget 2024 Includes $125,000 for High Level

(HIGH LEVEL, AB) June 13, 2024: Alberta’s government is committed to preserving and enhancing existing health infrastructure to ensure Albertans can access care when and where it’s needed. By making strategic investments to responsibly maintain infrastructure, the government is working to ensure existing facilities continue to meet the needs of patients and health care workers.

Funding is through the Capital Maintenance and Renewal Program that is managed by Alberta Infrastructure in partnership with Alberta Health. Alberta Health Services identifies projects that prioritize the safety and health of patients and staff while preventing the deterioration of infrastructure.

“I’m grateful to work and advocate on behalf of the Peace Region to bring more investments to improve the quality of our health facilities and provide better health care. These projects make a difference to people of northern Alberta, including health care workers and I am glad to see our government making this area a priority,” said Dan Williams, MLA for Peace River and Minister for Mental Health and Addiction.
