It’s a agreement signed to hopefully help in the recruiting process.
Northwestern Polytechnic and the University of Alberta have put a memorandum of Understanding in place to complete the Doctor of Medicine program in Grande Prairie.
Students would complete all four of the University’s years for the program to have MD’s in Northern Alberta.
Northwest Alberta has experienced significant doctor shortages in the past number of years.
The program is to start in the 2026 Academic year.
