The Alberta Sheriffs say a recent traffic stop lead to them removing an unsafe load from the highway that was going to High Prairie.
Sheriffs were patrolling on Highway 2 near Slave Lake when they pulled over a pickup truck towing a garage measuring over four metres wide.
The driver was travelling from Athabasca to High Prairie wasn’t able to produce any permits for the oversized load and there was also no visible brake lights or signal lights.
More than $970 in fines were issued, with Sheriffs saying this was a reminder about the importance of being safe.
