Slave Lake RCMP have repeated offender in custody

Slave Lake RCMP arrest repeat offender breaching house arrest and trespassing 

Slave Lake, Alta. – On June 26, 2024, Slave Lake RCMP received a report of a suspicious male. Police arrived and observed that the suspect was on house arrest for offences including attempting to punch a police officer on April 9, 2024, and attempting to cash a stolen check on April 22, 2024. When officers attempted to arrest the suspect he resisted arrest resulting in charges for breaching conditions and resisting arrest. The suspect was taken before a Justice of the Peace and Released for future court date.

On July 2, 2024, Slave Lake RCMP received a report of a suspicious male in a back yard. RCMP again located the same suspect and attempted to arrest him for breaching his house arrest. The suspect threw a piece of plywood at police and a Conducted Energy Weapon was deployed by police at the suspect who eventually was arrested.

RCMP have charged Slave Lake resident, Tirell Shaquille Bohler (31),  with:

  • Assault Police Officer (x2);
  • Fail to comply with release order (x5);
  • Resist/Obstruct police officer (x3);
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • Uttering threats (x2).

Bohler was again taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next date set for July 31, 2024.
