  1. Students at St. Thomas More school in Fairview will now have a temporary home to house their education.
    The town, PRSD and the Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Division have agreed to build a temporary facility at the E.E Oliver Elementary school property.
  2. New rules have been put in place by the Alberta Government that limit where developers can build projects in the province.

  3. A total of $900,000 is being provided to AFSC for getting drones to perform aerial assessments of crops.
    The Minister of Agriculture, RJ Sigurdson, says this is the first step in seeing how drone technology can be used for crop insurance claims. (Interview on App)
  4. A solemn parade of dignitaries and VIPs offered condolences Tuesday to the family of Brian Mulroney as the former prime minister began lying in state near Parliament Hill.
    A guard of honour gingerly delivered Mulroney’s flag-shrouded casket before Gov. Gen. Mary Simon and husband Whit Fraser entered to pay her respects.
  5. Thanks to wildfires, air quality in Canada is now worse than in the U.S., according to a new report.
    Of the 15 most polluted cities in the two countries, 14 were in Canada, led by Fort McMurray and Peace River in Alberta. Others included Yellowknife, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Canmore, Alta.

  9. Baseball’s major leagues start tomorrow morning with the Dodgers and San Diego playing in Seoul South Korea.
    The Toronto Blue Jays open their season next Thursday in Tampa Bay. Jose Berrios is announced as the opening day starter.
  10. Temps are now below zero, and they will stay that way for the rest of the week.
    The Peace and Big Lakes could see some flurries today and Wednesday night into Thursday.
