  1. The Fairview RCMP is asking for help from the public in finding a missing 46-year-old male.
    Police say Fairview resident, Willis Robichaud was last heard from on December 27th.
  2. Investigations are underway at the Peace River Municipal Library from a Break and Enter, early Monday morning.
    Once inside, the suspect looked around the Art Gallery, but stole nothing, nor caused any damage.
  3. Fire Crews are busy in the Forest Areas of Peace River, High Level, Slave Lake and Grande Prairie with Hazard Reduction Burns.
    Firefighters are removing dry and dead grass to lessen the flammable fuels in the area.
  4. The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division has called a by-election for Ward 2, representing McLennan.
    Nomination Day is May 15th, where forms can be dropped off at Central Office in Peace River, or L’Ecole Providence in McLennan.
  5. Trade show season is continuing this weekend in the Peace Region with the High Prairie Gun and Sportsman Show.
    The event is tomorrow and Sunday at the Sports Palace, Buchanan Center and Curling Rink. Over 250 exhibits are expected. (Darrel Basarab Interview on App)

  9. The NHL starts the roads to the Stanley Cup tomorrow night. Four Canadian teams are in the hunt for Lord Stanley’s donated trophy.
    Toronto at Boston start tomorrow, Colorado at Winnipeg, and Nashville at Vancouver start Sunday, LA at Edmonton starts Monday.
  10. Sunshine and numbers into the double-digits are the forecast, well into next week.
    Highs could start nudging 20 degrees in the Peace into next week, which is pleasent, yet concerning at the same time… because it’s dry!
