  1. RCMP in High Level have a man from Eleske (el-es-kee) on the Child Lake Reserve in custody on possession charges.
    In mid-March, police searched a business and seized nearly 141,000 contraband cigarettes, as well as unstamped tobacco.
  2. RCMP in Grande Prairie are looking for a suspect believed to be involved in a homicide.
    This stems from human remains found near Clairmont in mid-March, which have been identified as 34-year-old Echer Marcial.
  3. The town of Peace River is celebrating the reduction of their debt.
    At a recent meeting, the town announced the net debt had gone down from $21 million to $12 million in the last two years.
  4. Phase three of the Alberta is Calling campaign is up and rolling, with the province hoping to recruit tradespeople to fill critical roles in the labour market.
    The province says the third installment had moved to B.C., Quebec, and Ontario, aiming to entice trades workers to make the move to Alberta.
  5. Saskatchewan and Alberta have agreed to share and swap information about nuclear power generation.
    The two sides agree to keep each other informed on supply chains, workforce development, fuel supply and regulations around reactor technologies.
  6. Heart River in Nampa, High Prairie, Mighty Peace in Peace River, Fairview, Lakeside in Eaglesham, and 5-star Golf Courses in Guy are all open.
