  1. Fort Vermillion RCMP have three in custody from the Shelter in Place on Monday.
    A 28 year-old man and 26 year-old woman from Fort Vermilion, and a 37 year-old man from South Tall Cree face the judge tomorrow morning.
  2. The town of McLennan is needing support from the public.
    A hearing is happening to hear input regarding the proposed bylaw to reduce Town Council from seven members to five. The hearing will happen just before the regular meeting on Monday evening.
  3. Town Councils meet tonight…
    In Grimshaw, Staff Seargent Dave Browne of the Peace Regional RCMP presents a delegation. Council decides on the Street Closure for the Harvest Moon Festival, and the subscription to the Voyent Alert.
    The town of Manning has David Lee from Manning RCMP, as well as Rosary School presenting delegations.
    A couple of delegations are being presented to the MD of Smoky River, while the final budget and subsequent rates of taxation will be finalized.
    Big Lakes County will discuss their Dust Control Policy, and the amendment to the Water and Wastewater Services bylaw.
  4. Activity on the Shaftesbury fire has been quiet in recent days, but all hands were on deck at the height of the blaze in late April.

  5. McHappy Day is today in the Peace and Mackenzie area McDonald’s restaurant.
    A portion of sales of food, beverage, accessories, and donations go to Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charities. (Raymond Isaac interview on App)
  6. Canadian Utilities Ltd., a subsidiary of ATCO Ltd., says it plans to build a new natural gas pipeline to supply a petrochemical project being built northeast of Edmonton.
    Canadian Utilities says it plans to spend more than $2 billion on the new pipeline, which will be the largest energy infrastructure project by an ATCO company.
  7. Another local product has signed with the North Peace Navigators in forward Treyton Pacheco.
    He scored 16 points in 18 games last season with the U18 Royals. He played seven games over the past two seasons with the Fairview Flyers.
  8. NHL Playoffs tonight… Game 1 Edmonton is in Vancouver, Game 2 Boston is in Florida, The Bruins took the opening game.
  9. The Toronto Blue Jays play this afternoon in Philidelphia.  Chris Bassitt starts for the Jays against Aaron Nola.
  10. Sunshine and warmer temperatures are forecasted for the rest of the week in the Northwest. Lows at night will be comfortable under starry skies.
    Digits will get to the mid to high twenties by Friday, but will cool off a little for the weekend.
