- A Boil Water Advisory is in place in Fairview. It’s due to an issue with the town’s water system, so residents are asked to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, prior to consumption.
This advisory joins similar advisories in Donnelly and Kinuso, which are also in place until further notice. - Progress is being made on the Semo Complex Fire, north of John D’or Prairie and Fox Lake. Now, five of the six blazes in the Complex are listed as Being Held.
Fire 136, at 6,100 hectares adjacent to Hwy 58, had its status lowered over the weekend. Fire 61 north of of Fox Lake at 106,000 hectares, is still listed as Out of Control. - Evacuees from Jasper began returning home to assess the damage left from Wildfires burning in the area. However, an evacuation alert is still present for the municipality and an order is still in place for the National Park.
Meanwhile an evacuation alert continues for members of the Little Red River Cree Nation. Officials say about 500 people began to return home in that area. - Last year, they were here to battle the Bassitt Fire, this year, they are here to battle the Semo Complex Fire. While they took a break in High Level, crews from Australia and New Zealand stopped by the Fire Hall to catch up and enjoy some fellowship with their comrades. - The union representing thousands of workers at Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd. says it has served a 72-hour strike notice to the railway.

Camp for the La Crete Lumber Barons starts on September 6th, wehile no dates have been set yet for the Fairview Flyers. - The Toronto Blue Jays start a three-game set at home to Cincinnati tonight. Kevin Gausman starts for the Jays.
- The morning showers should be clearing off this afternoon, and so should the fog in the Northwest. Highs today are in the high teens to the low 20’s.
Lows tonight are around the 10-degree mark. Skies could be cloudy, wet and cool on Wednesday.
