Valleyview RCMP respond to collision with a school bus
Valleyview, Alta. – On April 22, 2024, at 8:7 a.m., Valleyview RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus on Highway 43 near Williamson Park Road. Upon arriva,l EMS treated several victims. Ultimately 2 adults and 5 children were taken to hospital with various injuries. All individuals have since been treated and released.
Investigation has revealed that the bus proceeded across Highway 43 after stopping at Williamson Park road. The vehicle was then struck by an East-bound truck.
The driver of the bus has been issued one violation ticket on for failing to proceed when safe after stopping and another violation under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation.
